Ten: Perfect Day.

Jonah was pleased for the happy couple when Ana sat him down to tell him the news.

In his precious spare time he began working with wood at the workbench, a handmade wedding present on his mind.  Not from budgetary concerns, but rather the opposite.  When everything came easily, the things that mattered weren't the material possessions, but rather the things from the heart.

Alex began composing a song, the joy he was feeling required expression.  He wanted desperately to show Ana how very much he loved her; and this was the best way he knew how.

Standing, waiting for the ceremony to start, Alex closed his eyes a moment, the better to savour the moment -this perfect day. He felt the sun on his skin and heard the rustle of Anastasia's gown and was content.

They promised to 'have and to hold' to 'love and to cherish'.  The traditional vows spoken by millions of couples for hundreds of years. 

As they exchanged rings, Alex kissed Ana's hands, which was fast becoming his 'thing'.

Then the celebrant declared them husband and wife.  Alex barely waited for permission to 'kiss the bride'.

Then there was eating, drinking and merriment.

Alex played his serenade.  It would feature on his new album.

And it all went on for quite some time before Ryan began making pointed jokes about leaving the newlyweds alone.
